We Celebrate Jackie

The Jackie Michon Educational Foundation was established to provide young women with a passion for life & adventure an opportunity for an education that will enhance their future so the possibilities for their success will be endless. The foundation hosts an annual benefit to raise money for a scholarship in Jackie’s name for Mercy High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The Jackie Michon Educational Foundation is a 501c3 Nonprofit. See below for news and ways to get involved.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, May 31!
We recommend using an app like Mapquest to navigate your way due to ongoing road construction in our beautiful state.
Kensington staff advises this may take you to open entrances that include a dirt road. www.drivingoakland.com will have more guidance if needed.
We are located once again at the Baywoods L shelter in Kensington Metropark
2240 W. Buno Road, Milford MI
  • Check in to pickup T-shirts and wristbands begins at 12:30pm and the walk/run begins at 1pm
  • As usual, there is a $10 day park entrance fee or $40 for an annual pass for vehicles
  • A light lunch is provided
  • We are excited to toast Jackie with Among the Wildflowers brew from Grand Armory Brewing!
  • We have another wonderful silent auction!
  • Come early or stay late to enjoy the park amenities if you wish

Update: due to COVID-19, our annual event to celebrate Jackie Michon and to raise money for scholarships in her name will be postponed to November 14, 2020.

December 2019

The Jackie Michon Educational Foundation is happy to announce that it has funded two additional scholarships for Mercy High School students in 2019. Funds from this year also went toward creating a permanent endowment in Jackie’s name to provide future scholarships. Thank you to everyone who made this possible!
